She was just a tiny kitten, pressed against cold wire, shaking on a concrete porch while winter winds cut through her fragile body.
Her eyes searched every face that passed by, hoping someone would see her fear and understand her silent cries.
She had no warmth, no food, and no idea why the world had turned so cruel so fast.

Each night, the cold stole more of her strength, and each morning came with less hope than the last.
She tried to be brave, curling into herself, waiting for hands that never came.
Her little heart learned what it felt like to be forgotten.

Still, that sweet soul kept believing someone would stop.
She held on with everything she had left.
