Domino was a shy kitty who kept appearing in the backyard during the cold San Francisco rain.

She wouldn’t come close, just watched from the shadows, soaked and trembling like a sweet soul who had been let down too many times. Every storm felt like it could be her last.

Then a kind man built her a tiny heated house. Domino stared at it like it was too good to be true, then finally stepped inside and curled up small.

That moment hit the heart hard, because she looked like she had never been warm before.

But Domino didn’t come alone for long. One stray became two, then three, then kittens.

Soon Barna’s backyard turned into a little safe village, where forgotten cats could sleep dry and protected instead of shattered by the streets.
