Her name is Grisette. She’s a senior cat, with deep eyes and a quiet soul. For months at the shelter, nobody noticed her. Too calm, too shy — she stayed in the background while the younger ones found homes.
But that day, I saw her. I kneeled down, she walked over slowly, silently, and looked straight into my eyes. That gaze… I couldn’t walk away.
Now, Grisette is home. She walks gently across the floor, curious and graceful. Her purr is soft and reserved for peaceful moments. She may not be the youngest or most energetic, but she is living proof that every animal deserves a second chance — no matter their age.
