USA is a cruel place for a stray cat to be born.
We found this cat after it had been hit by a vehicle on the road and couldn’t walk. I still don’t understand how people can see something like this and just walk past as if they saw nothing. Even the person whose vehicle hit the cat didn’t bother to stop and check on it.
My son and I were traveling when we noticed it and stopped the car to see what had happened. At first, I truly thought the cat was already dead. But when I went closer and realized it was still alive, my heart felt a little lighter.
Without wasting a moment, we took the cat to the nearest vet clinic. The vet told us that both of its front legs were broken and that it would take some time to recover. When the vet said that if we had been even a little late, it might not have survived, I felt a strange mix of deep sadness and overwhelming happiness in my heart.
