1973 Datsun 240Z

The 1973 Datsun 240Z marked the final year of this iconic sports car’s initial production run, featuring an inline, overhead-cam six-cylinder L24 engine that produced 150 horsepower at 5600 RPM and 146 lb-ft of torque at 4400 RPM. With four-wheel independent suspension, it offered premium features typically found on much more expensive European sports cars like the Jaguar E-Type and BMW 2800 CS.

This Japanese performance machine achieved a top speed of 122 mph, measured 163 inches in length with a 91-inch wheelbase, and had a base price of approximately $4,690 when new. The 1973 model year saw modifications to meet stricter emissions requirements and featured larger rubber-capped bumpers to comply with new crash specifications.
