1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II Sports Coupe (more photos πŸ‘‡)

Introduced in September 1929, the Phantom II was the last Rolls-Royce developed under Sir Henry Royce before his death in 1933.

Available in 144-inch and 150-inch wheelbases, the lowered chassis gave coachbuilders a versatile platform that produced some of the most visually distinctive cars of the 1930s.

Power came from a 7,668cc (7.7L) OHV inline-six rated at approximately 120 hp, paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox. Servo-assisted four-wheel brakes and a single-shot chassis lubrication system were among its practical engineering details.

Despite weighing close to three tons (approximately 6,700 lbs, 3,040 kg, depending on coachwork), the Phantom II was considerably quicker than its predecessor and competed directly with the Bentley 8-Litre for buyers at the very top of the market.
