🐾 Meet Piran, the cat who became a hero in Cornwall this week. When an 83-year-old woman went missing near her home, search teams and neighbors began looking everywhere. It was actually Piran’s loud meowing from the corner of a large maize field that drew attention 👀.
Following the sound, rescuers discovered that the woman had fallen nearly 70 feet down a steep embankment with rough, uneven terrain. Thanks to Piran, she was found quickly before things became worse.

🚒 Cornwall Fire and Rescue, along with their specialist water rescue team, 🚁 Cornwall Air Ambulance, and paramedics worked together in a complex rescue. She was carefully hoisted back up on a stretcher and airlifted to hospital.
💛 Thankfully, she’s now in stable condition and receiving good care. Officers even managed to snap a photo of Piran, the furry little hero who made all the difference that day.
Piran reminds us: sometimes heroes come on four paws 🐱✨.
