Last year, a family already known on social media for their videos featuring their three Malamutes welcomed a new member into their home. The family consisted of three humans—mother, father, and their daughter—along with two Malamutes, a cat named Milo, and a Golden Retriever named Buddy. The arrival of baby Nathan brought immeasurable joy to the family.

In an Instagram post shared by Shane, the father, it was evident that one of the dogs was trembling with excitement upon meeting the newest addition to the family.

From the moment Nathan entered their lives, the dogs fell head over paws in love with him. They took turns keeping a watchful eye over him as he slept, but one dog, in particular, became his constant companion—Buddy, the Golden Retriever.

Buddy remains by Nathan’s side, even though the infant is still too young for interactive play. Nathan frequently snuggles up to Buddy, using him as a cozy blanket. Shane shared, “This Golden Retriever never leaves the side of a newborn when he meets one! Buddy follows Nathan wherever he goes, or as far as he can go without being carried. It’s almost as if our dogs have an innate instinct to become fluffy little guardians.”The bond that has already formed between Buddy and Nathan is truly heartwarming. As they grow up together, they will undoubtedly become an incredible team, supporting and protecting each other through life’s adventures.
