When she came home from work, she allowed him to take Meow Meow inside to protect her until help could arrive.

The Humane Society of Tampa Bay soon stepped in. When rescuers arrived, they found Meow Meow hiding under a trailer, crying in pain.
She was rushed to the shelter, where staff immediately began caring for her injuries.
X-rays revealed devastating news.
Her femur had been broken beyond repair. The only option to stop her suffering was to amputate her leg.
The surgery went ahead, and Meow Meow pulled through.
Despite the trauma, her loving personality never faded. Shelter workers described her as affectionate, gentle, and even playful.
In videos shared online, she can be seen kneading her blanket, a clear sign she still felt safe and loved.

She began checking the shelter’s website daily, waiting for the moment this brave cat would be ready for adoption.
