It is not every day that a walk to work changes a life.
But for one stray cat, meowing in desperation on the streets, the right person happened to pass by at just the right time.
This cat, later named Mukki, was in heartbreaking condition when she was first discovered. Her skin was raw and irritated.
She moved slowly, meowing in pain, as if begging someone to notice her.
Her fur was patchy, her body weak, and her eyes carried the tired look of an animal that had been suffering for far too long.
Luckily for Mukki, the person who found her was not just anyone.

She was a veterinarian.
And not just that, she was a veterinarian who worked with the Soi Dog Foundation, an organisation dedicated to rescuing stray cats and dogs in desperate situations.
From the very first moment, the vet knew Mukki’s survival would depend on immediate care.
It was clear she had a serious skin condition that was affecting her entire health.
The cat was dehydrated, malnourished, and too weak to eat properly.
The team at Soi Dog said she was depressed, struggling to even find the energy to go on.
But despite her condition, the vet refused to give up on her. They gave her a new name, Rose, and started treatment straight away.
Her ears were carefully cleaned. Medication and antibiotics were administered.
Her fur was shaved so her damaged skin could heal without further irritation.

Each small step in her treatment made a difference, though progress was slow at first.
Then, something incredible happened. Rose began to respond. Her appetite returned, and she started eating regularly again.
With food, hydration, and treatment, her strength slowly returned.
The change was visible. The weak, suffering cat who had once cried in pain began to lift her head with energy and curiosity.
She grew brighter, more alert, and much more affectionate.
With every passing day, she began to trust the people around her.
She understood that the hands reaching for her were there to heal, not harm.
Over the course of two months, Rose underwent a transformation so remarkable that even the veterinary staff who had been caring for her were astonished.
The cat who once looked lost and broken was now healthy, vibrant, and filled with life.

Her fur grew back, her skin cleared, and her eyes sparkled again. She no longer resembled the fragile stray that had been found crying on the streets.
Instead, she was a picture of health and happiness.
And just as her recovery reached its peak, her next chapter began.
When René met Rose, he was instantly smitten.
He saw not the sick stray she had once been, but the affectionate, lively cat she had become. He adopted her and gave her a new name: Mukki.
The bond between René and Mukki was immediate.
She quickly settled into her new home, making it clear she had finally found her person.
René explained how Mukki had a habit of napping beneath his legs, staying close to him as if she never wanted to be apart.

And seeing her find a forever home with someone who adored her was the perfect ending to her journey.
They always wished she would not only recover but also find a safe and loving place to spend her life.
And that wish came true the day René brought her home.
From a stray cat suffering alone with a severe skin infection to a healthy, affectionate companion with a devoted owner.

Mukki’s story is nothing short of miraculous.
