1932 Bentley 8-Litre Tourer (by Vanden Plas)

Introduced at the 1930 London Motor Show, the Bentley 8-Litre stands as the final creation by W.O. Bentley himself. This remarkable machine features a massive 8-liter inline six-cylinder engine generating 220 horsepower, which allowed it to achieve 100 mph with impressive quietness.

The Vanden Plas Tourer variant showcases distinctive sporting characteristics: open fenders, a low beltline, and a notched driver’s door that gives it the spirit of a racer while maintaining luxury comfort. Only 100 examples were manufactured between 1930-1932, with fewer than 25 receiving sports bodies. These cars represent an exceptional combination of raw power and refined elegance.
