This is our girl, Pepsi. She’s nearly 19 and was very recently diagnosed with kidney disease 😢 She has lost some weight (now 3.9kg) and it is evident that she is slowing down with age, but she had IV fluids at the Vets last week, is now on a renal diet and meds, and thankfully seems to be doing well 🙏

I’m looking for some advice around Ipakitine. I’ve used this before, as my beautiful dog (Wilson) also had kidney disease 💔 Wilson ate twice a day though, so I was also able to give him the Ipakitine with his meals twice a day as advised. However, Pepsi has never eaten at regular intervals and she is fed around 3-4 times per day, depending when she’s looking for food. I am currently mixing her renal food in with some of her regular food, as she would not eat the renal food on its own, so I have been mixing up a days worth of food and then feeding her this throughout the day. Does anyone have any advice around if I can also mix the Ipakitine in with her daily food amount and then feed it throughout the day, or does the Ipakitine need to be mixed in ‘fresh’ at each meal time? TIA x
