Calvin was only one or two years old when fear found him in the coldest way. His curious steps led him somewhere no sweet soul should ever be, trapped in a dark drain with only his head outside, crying softly as cars passed by and the morning air chilled his tiny body.

No one knew how long he waited there, stuck and helpless, his heart pounding while his world felt shattered and silent. He could not escape, only hope that someone would see his frightened eyes and stop.

When help finally came, Calvin was exhausted, scratched, and scared, but still alive. For a cat so young to face that kind of fear is heartbreaking, and it reminds us how fragile and precious these innocent lives truly are.
