It started like any ordinary rescue mission. A group of animal volunteers were out braving the freezing winter night, searching for animals that might be in trouble.
The cold was biting, and the streets were eerily quiet. But then, something caught their eye.
Lying motionless on the side of the road was a frail cat.
His fur was matted, his body painfully thin, and his eyes told a story of suffering no animal should ever endure. He was barely holding on.
