The boutique sells expensive dresses. The window display is always perfect.
But this morning, shoppers noticed something extra.
Curled up on a $500 silk scarf in the window was a dirty stray cat.
Customers banged on the door to tell the owner. “”There’s a rat-catcher in your window! Chase it away!””
The owner, Mrs. Gable, looked at the sleeping cat. She taped a handwritten sign to the glass instead:
“”SHHH. SHE IS SLEEPING. DO NOT TAP THE GLASS.””
Mrs. Gable cleans the fur off the scarf every day, but she never wakes the cat.
“”The scarf can be washed,”” she says. “”Her sleep is priceless.””
Kindness is the ultimate luxury. 👗🐈
