Ashford was a long-term shelter cat, nicknamed “Fang” because his little teeth stuck out. But the saddest part wasn’t his teeth. It was how many times he was adopted, then brought back like he didn’t matter.
Each return left his sweet soul more nervous, more unsure, and more afraid of loving anyone again.
He couldn’t handle being locked in a cage because it caused deep anxiety. So he lived in the shelter office, roaming free, yet still not truly home.
He watched people come and go, always wondering if anyone would ever choose him for real.
Then one visitor met him, and Fang finally felt safe in someone’s arms.
