Introduced in 1957, the Vauxhall Cresta PA showcased distinct American-influenced styling with subtle tail fins and wrap-around windows that reflected automotive fashion of the era. The model drew design inspiration from the 1957 Buick Special while maintaining a more reserved appearance compared to its American counterparts. These four-door saloons came well-appointed with leather and nylon upholstery covering bench seats front and rear, plus woven pile carpeting and standard heating systems.
The PA Cresta featured a column-mounted gear lever and under-dashboard handbrake to maximize floor space, accommodating up to six passengers comfortably. Available in single or two-tone color schemes, the model offered various factory options including fog lamps, reversing lights, and external mirrors. Later production cars like the 1961 model received an upgraded 2.6-liter six-cylinder engine paired with a three-speed manual transmission.
