1966 Ferrari 330 GTC (by Pininfarina)
The Ferrari 330 GTC showcases an ideal balance of performance and refinement. Designed by Pininfarina, this grand touring coupe features elegant styling that combines elements from the 500 Superfast at the front and the 275 GTS at the rear. The 330 GTC has a cabin with very slim pillars, providing an airy interior and excellent visibility.
Beneath its stylish bodywork sits a powerful 4.0-liter SOHC V12 engine producing 300 horsepower at 7,000 rpm when fed by three Weber carburetors. Power flows through a five-speed manual transaxle to the rear wheels.
About 600 coupes were manufactured before production ended in 1968 with the introduction of the 365 GTC. The car rides on a short 95-inch wheelbase chassis with independent suspension all around – wishbones and coil springs at each corner. Four-wheel disc brakes provide stopping power.
Car and Driver magazine once asked: “At the top – at the absolute top – in the automotive enthusiasts’ hierarchy of the cars of the world, there is only one. Ferrari.” With its perfect blend of style, luxury and performance, the 330 GTC exemplifies why Ferrari earned such high praise.
