1934 Packard 1104 Super Eight Coupe Roadster
Approximately 20 examples of this two-passenger Coupe Roadster are believed to survive, making body style 759 one of the rarest interpretations of Packard’s 1934 Super Eight chassis.
LeBaron’s earlier semi-custom designs influenced the styling, most notably the distinctive convertible top that folds completely flush with the body.
The upright grille maintained Packard’s formal character, while partially skirted fenders hinted at emerging design directions. Long hood proportions and elegant flowing lines created a sophisticated appearance that balanced traditional and contemporary styling elements.
A 385-cubic-inch straight eight engine provided power through a three-speed manual transmission. The chassis incorporated Ride Control adjustable shock absorbers and Bijur automatic chassis lubrication for improved reliability.
Factory options frequently included dual driving lights, dual horn trumpets, dual side-mounted spare tires with covers, Trippe-style or Packard-branded accessory lights, mirrors, and luggage racks.
