A friend gave me a cat they no longer wanted. It’s been three days now, and the cat still doesn’t dare come out of the cabinet—only peeking at me with its little eyes.
The canned food I just put out? It won’t eat it right away. It waits until I leave, making sure the room is safe before stepping out. If it hears any movement, it scurries back into the cabinet to hide immediately.
The kitten is already a few months old. I heard it’s been passed around to several families before, so now it has no sense of security and doesn’t trust people much.
Seeing how timid it is tugs at my heartstrings. I hope to win it over with my love, letting it know this will be its forever home from now on!
