A concerned citizen reached out to Furget Me Not Animal Rescue in Edmonton, Alberta, about a stray cat in distress. Upon arrival, they discovered Bitsy, a remarkable feline born with six legs due to a rare condition where she absorbed a twin in utero. 🐱🧬

Despite her unique anatomy, Bitsy was gentle, affectionate, and clearly craved love. Veterinarians at Windermere Veterinary Hospital found that three of her six legs were non-functional and causing her pain. After a successful two-hour surgery to remove the extra limbs and a partial pelvis, Bitsy began her journey to recovery. 🏥💖

Now, under the loving care of Mackenzie, an office manager at the hospital, Bitsy is thriving as a happy, healthy three-legged cat, running, jumping, and playing just like any other feline. 🏃‍♀️🎉
Her story is a beautiful reminder of the resilience and spirit of animals — truly an inspiration! ✨
