1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Turismo Compressore Series V (by Touring)

The Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GTC (Gran Turismo Compressore) Series V emerged in 1931-32 as a refined evolution of the 6C line. It paired a detuned 80-horsepower supercharged 1,752cc engine with a long-wheelbase chassis suited for luxury coachwork. Featuring improved components derived from the 8C, including better springs, shocks, and brakes, it attracted wealthy buyers who commissioned bodies from prestigious coachbuilders like Castagna, Touring, and Zagato.

Despite its grand touring focus, it proved competitive: a lightweight version placed fourth overall at the 1932 Mille Miglia and won its class.
