Italian cinema fans of the 1960s would instantly recognize this compact family car speeding through movie scenes. The 1957 Fiat 1100/103, representing Fiat’s successful small car expertise during the post-war era, was a staple of Italian motoring.
This unibody sedan featured updated chrome trim and a redesigned radiator grille with vertical bars for 1957. The car was primarily offered as a four-door sedan, but there were also station wagon (Familiare) versions and a few special-bodied variants by coachbuilders such as Pininfarina.
Under the hood sat a 1,089 cc four-cylinder overhead-valve engine producing around 36 horsepower, paired with a four-speed manual transmission that sent power to the rear wheels.
