1966 Maserati Mistral 3.7 Spyder
Pietro Frua, who previously designed Maserati’s A6G, created the Mistral in both coupe and Spyder forms. Debuting at the 1964 Geneva Motor Show, the Mistral Spyder featured a distinctive sharknose grille and Kamm tail. Three engine options were available: 3.5-, 3.7-, or 4.0-liter inline-sixes, paired with a ZF five-speed manual transmission. The 3.7-liter variant was considered the sweet spot in that range, achieving 0-60 mph in 6.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 158 mph.
