1972 TVR Vixen 2500
British sports car manufacturer TVR produced the Vixen 2500 as part of their lightweight fiberglass sports car lineup during the early 1970s. This rare model featured a Triumph-derived 2.5-liter inline-six engine that delivered strong performance in a compact, hand-built package weighing just over 1,600 pounds. With only 385 examples manufactured, the Vixen 2500 represents one of TVR’s more exclusive offerings from this period.
The car’s fiberglass body construction allowed for both light weight and distinctive styling that captured the essence of British sports car design. TVR’s small-scale production methods meant each vehicle received individual attention during assembly at their Blackpool factory. The Triumph engine provided reliable power delivery while maintaining the tractable characteristics that made these cars enjoyable for both spirited driving and daily use.
