The 1953 Porsche 356 Limousine Custom proves that even sports cars can dream of becoming luxury transportation. Born from a father’s desire to create something special for his daughter’s wedding, this unique creation started life as a “bent-window” 356 before being transformed into an elegant stretched sedan. Multiple donor cars contributed to its extended body, which features rear-hinged back doors and period-correct details that would make any Porsche historian do a double-take.

The white-painted curiosity sports a chauffeur’s compartment separated from a cozy two-passenger rear cabin, complete with fancy wood trim, vintage thermometer, and even a flower-designed ashtray. When the original engine proved inadequate for the added length, a more muscular 912 flat-four took up residence in the back. While Ferdinand Porsche never imagined his nimble sports car would morph into a formal limousine, this one-off creation manages to maintain 356 charm while stretching the boundaries of what’s possible.
