This bird smells so unusual that people call it the “stinkbird.”

The Hoatzin lives in the swamps and flooded forests of the Amazon, feeding mostly on leaves that ferment inside its digestive system like a cow’s stomach. Young chicks even have small claws on their wings to climb branches.
