This bird’s oversized bill can grow nearly one-third of its total body length.

The Black-billed Toucan inhabits the tropical forests of South America, where it feeds on fruits, insects, eggs, and small vertebrates. Despite its enormous bill, it is surprisingly lightweight, allowing the bird to move easily through the forest canopy in search of food.

A vibrant ambassador of the rainforest, carrying one of nature’s most iconic silhouettes through the treetops.
