This tiny bird flashes a brilliant sapphire-blue throat that shines like a hidden jewel.

The Bluethroat breeds across northern Europe and Asia, then migrates to warmer regions of Europe, Africa, and South Asia for the winter. It inhabits wetlands, marshes, and shrubby habitats, feeding on insects, spiders, berries, and other small invertebrates while often singing from low perches.

A vibrant traveler of the wetlands, proving that the smallest birds can carry the brightest colors.
