This bird builds a hanging nest that looks more like a woven lantern than a bird’s home.
The Long-tailed Broadbill inhabits tropical forests across South and Southeast Asia. Working together, a pair carefully weaves a large pear-shaped nest from grass, roots, moss, and spider silk, suspending it from the tip of a branch. They feed mainly on insects, spiders, and small fruits.
A master weaver of the rainforest, proving that some of nature’s finest homes are built high above the forest floor.
