This little bird lives high in the mountains, where few people ever get to see it.
The Johnstone’s Robin is a small songbird found only in the highland forests of the Albertine Rift in Central Africa. It prefers cool, mossy woodlands, where it quietly searches for insects and other tiny invertebrates among leaf litter and low vegetation. Secretive by nature, it is far more often heard than seen as it moves through the dense forest.
A hidden voice of Africa’s cloud forests, reminding us that some of nature’s greatest treasures remain wonderfully elusive.
