This bird walks through the rainforest with the confidence of a feathered king.

The Great Curassow is one of the largest forest birds in Central America and northern South America. Recognizable by its curly crest and sturdy build, it spends much of its time on the forest floor searching for fallen fruits, seeds, insects, and small animals. Although it can fly into trees to roost, it prefers to walk quietly beneath the canopy, where its keen senses help it avoid danger.

A majestic guardian of the rainforest, proving that true royalty doesn’t always rule from the sky.
