The African Scops Owl is one of Africa’s smallest owls, found in woodlands and savannas across much of sub-Saharan Africa. Its mottled gray or brown plumage provides incredible camouflage, while its large yellow eyes and silent flight make it a skilled nocturnal hunter. It feeds mainly on insects, spiders, and other small creatures under the cover of darkness.
A master of camouflage and the night, proving that some of nature’s greatest hunters are also its best-hidden.
