The Whiskered Treeswift creates a tiny cup-shaped nest that sits precariously on a slender branch, held together with fine plant fibers and spider silk. The nest is so small that it can look almost like part of the branch itself, helping protect the single egg from predators. Both parents take turns caring for their precious little home high above the forest floor.
A miniature masterpiece balanced in the treetops, proving that sometimes the safest home is the one nature makes almost impossible to notice.
