This tiny bird looks like a little flame dancing through the Australian grasslands.
The Beautiful Firetail is a striking finch native to southeastern Australia, including Tasmania. Its dark upperparts, bold white spots, and vivid red bill and rump create a beautiful contrast against its soft brown plumage. It spends much of its time foraging close to the ground for grass seeds, often moving quietly through dense vegetation in pairs or small groups.
A delicate jewel of the Australian bush, proving that even the smallest birds can carry a truly unforgettable beauty.
