His name is Jadu — and for everyone who has met him, the name fits perfectly. In Hindi, “Jadu” means magic, and his journey is nothing short of miraculous.

A Painful Discovery

Jadu was found alone and in pain, limping along a road with a severely broken leg. He had been hit by a car and left behind. Like many street dogs in India, he had no one — until the rescuers from RRSA India arrived.

When they reached him, it was clear Jadu was special. His leg was swollen and twisted, fractures visible beneath the skin. Yet, despite his agony, his tail wagged gently. In that small movement, his rescuers saw his unbroken spirit — Jadu was not ready to give up.

Fighting for a Chance

They rushed him to be examined. X-rays revealed extensive fractures and deep wounds. The leg was beyond saving. The risk of infection was too great. Still, hope remained.

Jadu was started on IV fluids, antibiotics, and pain relief. Then came the hardest choice — to amputate the leg and give Jadu a real chance at life.

Surgery is risky, especially for a small, injured dog like Jadu. But it was the only option. Wrapped in bandages and comforted by gentle voices, Jadu prepared for the operation. Though he couldn’t understand their words, he felt their kindness.

Monitored closely for 24 hours, Jadu slowly regained strength. When the time came, the surgery went smoothly. His painful leg was removed, and Jadu woke to a new life — with three legs and no pain. His recovery began immediately. He was lighter, freer.

A New Beginning

Today, Jadu is healing. He’s learning to move on three legs, but his tail never stops wagging. His spirit remains strong, his eyes shining bright with hope.

Though he lost a leg, he gained safety, love, and a future every dog deserves.
