Harvest, lovingly called Harvey, has found his forever home! This adorable 2-year-old Queensland Heeler with his petite 20-pound frame is finally getting the love he deserves.

After a nervous stay in the shelter, Harvey’s sweet demeanor melted the hearts of his new family.

A life of sadness

Before his adoption, Harvest was an urgent case at Riverside Shelter, where his tiny size and shy nature made him vulnerable.

He needed someone to see beyond the shelter jitters and recognize his loving heart. Like many rescue dogs, Harvey’s nervousness was only temporary and a reflection of his need for a safe, loving environment.

Dogs like Harvey rely on compassionate adopters, fosters, and rescuers who can provide a stable home and the patience they need to decompress. Without these efforts, countless dogs remain unseen, awaiting a chance to shine.
