After a much-needed night of sleep, the little dog was finally ready for her visit to the vet.

A Visit to the Veterinarian

After a careful head-to-tail check-up, the vets discovered that the little pup had a fractured leg along with a fissure on her hip.

While her hip injury would gradually heal on its own, her leg needed surgery for a full recovery.

Beyond these injuries, the pup—now lovingly named Anita—was also found to have high sugar levels, a hernia, and severe mange.

The vets made sure Anita was put on all the right medications, but they chose to delay her surgery—it was just too risky for her delicate state. Right now, their main goal was simply to help her feel as healthy and happy as possible.

To give her the best chance, she was sent to a warm, caring foster home!
