How is it that those who suffer the most often have the most love to give?

I can almost hear Rango answering that question if only he could speak!

For far too long, Rango lived in a property in West Phoenix, Arizona, surrounded by neglect and suffering. This sweet Pittie Lab mix never had a chance to understand what love truly felt like. But then, one day, everything changed.

When rescuers arrived to save him, they had no idea they were about to meet the biggest, most affectionate lovebug imaginable! Rango was ready to embrace a new life filled with warmth and kindness, just waiting for the opportunity to share his boundless love with the world.

A True Testament to Resilience

When Rango arrived at Poverty’s Pets in Arizona, he was in rough shape—his body was covered in open wounds and ticks, and he was overwhelmed with fear. This sweet boy was incredibly shy, likely due to the traumatic experiences of his past.

As Poverty’s Pets shared on Facebook, “Rango came to us broken, beat up, insecure, and a bit growly at times. But with love and kindness surrounding him, he began to heal, both physically and emotionally. All Rango wants is to give kisses…literally!”

Once he was given the chance to shine, everything changed for Rango.

Before long, Rango transformed into a cuddly teddy bear version of himself, radiating gratitude for his rescue. He showered everyone with warm kisses and those irresistibly cute smiles that could melt anyone’s heart.

Eventually, he found a loving foster home with Lori Jones, who opened her heart to him.

In no time, he went from a life of fear and neglect to becoming the silliest, most entertaining dog in the house!

“Rango is a beautiful example of the incredible resilience and forgiveness that dogs possess. He transformed from a life of neglect and pain, where trust was hard to come by, into a goofy, affectionate lap dog,” Lori shared on Instagram.

Rango embraced foster life with open paws! He quickly became famous for “holding people’s hands” wherever he went, as if he couldn’t get enough of human companionship.

There’s a spark within Rango that drives his eagerness to share love with everyone he meets, and it’s this boundless affection that has captured the hearts of so many!

Still Seeking His Forever Home

The only thing Rango is missing is his forever home!

Though he’s been with his loving fosters for years, the right family hasn’t quite rang the doorbell yet. While Rango enjoys his life surrounded by his furry friends, he longs for someone special to show him what a true home feels like.

Lori believes that Rango’s chance will come soon; he just needs a little more patience. When that moment arrives, she knows he will dazzle his future parents with the joy and enthusiasm he shares every single day. Rango is ready to shower his new family with love, and we can’t wait for the day he finds his perfect match!

“In spite of his past filled with neglect and cruelty, Rango has blossomed into one of the gentlest and happiest dogs you’ll ever meet,” Lori shared.
