Abandoned Puppy Trio Clings to Each Other Through All Hardships While Yearning for a Forever Home

Suzette Hall, the compassionate founder of Logan’s Legacy 29, a rescue organization based in California, is accustomed to receiving calls about stray pups wandering the streets of Southern California, seeking a kind soul to offer them a helping hand.

But one day, she received a call that stood out from the rest.

A Good Samaritan contacted Hall with a report of not one but three adorable pups huddled together in an abandoned property in Compton, clinging to one another for comfort.

A Call for Help

Upon learning about the three pups, Hall understood immediately that this would be a challenging rescue mission. While capturing a single frightened pup is difficult enough, capturing three is a monumental task. Nevertheless, Hall knew she had to devise a plan as she was their only hope.

It was beyond heartbreaking to see. They are all so tiny,” Hall shared on Facebook.

Unfortunately, Hall’s rescue mission was unexpectedly delayed by a few days due to mechanical issues with her rescue van.

Fortunately, her friend, Mary Nakiso, stepped in to visit the pups every evening, bringing them nourishing food to keep them healthy and strong while they awaited their rescuer.

When Hall finally arrived, she was struck by the deep bond between the pups.

They were so scared, but they had each other. And boy, do they love each other,” Hall said.

Hall decided to keep a respectful distance, not wanting to frighten the pups by crowding them too quickly. She spoke to them in a gentle, soothing tone, offering words of reassurance to show them they were safe and there was no need to worry.

Hall managed to quickly capture the smallest pup of the trio, while Nakiso worked to gain the trust of the middle one. Fortunately, it didn’t take long, and soon both of the pups were safe in Hall’s van.

The little girl loved Mary so much, and Mary was able to get her,” Hall noted.

The smallest pup, named Oscar, and his sister, named Jolene, waited anxiously in the safety of Hall’s van while the rescuers went back for their older brother, Ollie.

“The third baby boy was so beyond scared, he kept going into the garage,” Hall wrote.

Seeing that Ollie did not trust them, Hall and Nakiso decided it would be best to give him some space to calm down while they took his siblings to the Camino Pet Hospital in California.

A Successful Second Attempt

Later that evening, Hall returned to the abandoned property to try and capture Ollie again, this time bringing some backup.

She set up a humane trap next to the garage where Ollie was hiding, hoping he would enter it on his own.

When Hall returned the next morning, she was overjoyed to find Ollie patiently waiting in the trap for her.

She quickly drove the sweet boy to the vet hospital, where he was reunited with his adorable siblings.

They were all so scared. So cold, so hungry. But they were finally all safe. They had each other again,” Hall said.

These lovable triplets received a thorough checkup at the hospital before heading to their foster home. Hall’s friend, Genavie Ochoa, generously offered to take in all three so they wouldn’t have to be separated.

Despite Ollie’s ongoing struggle to trust people, his sweet siblings are embracing their new lives as house dogs with increasing enthusiasm.

Their caregivers are confident that, in time, these pups will overcome their past and fully enjoy the bright future ahead.

Ollie is so scared, but the other two are so sweet and love belly rubs. These poor babies went through so much,” Hall told The Dodo.

These sweet little babies 😫 I’m trying so hard to make friends with the other one. He’s just gonna need some more time and that’s ok. They were rescued from an abandoned house in Compton. Someone left these three little babies to fend for themselves. They’re literally so tiny! If you’re interested in adopting or fostering this Chihuahua family, they’ll be with Logan‘s Legacy 29. #dog#dogs#rescue#puppies#Chihuahua#fyp#cuties#love

It is hoped that Ollie, Jolene, and Oscar will find a loving forever home where they can finally relax and live their doggy dreams.

For now, the love and attention they receive from their foster family are more than enough to make them feel at home.

“I’m sure they haven’t slept this well in a long time. They are rescued and have each other,” Hall concluded.
