Cat Refuses To Leave Supermarket No Matter How Many Times She Gets Kicked Out

There’s something about cats that keeps us endlessly entertained.

Maybe it’s their quirky behavior, or maybe it’s how they always manage to act like they own every place they walk into.

Whatever it is, one thing’s for sure with a cat around, life is never dull.

That’s definitely the case with one particular feline who has captured the attention of locals and the internet alike.

This cat has a strange fascination with one specific grocery store.

Despite being removed time and time again, she simply won’t take no for an answer.

Her dedication? Unmatched. Her attitude? Unbothered. Her fluffiness? Absolutely top-tier.

The story begins a few years ago, when staff and customers at a Sainsbury’s supermarket in the UK noticed a new, rather furry regular wandering through the aisles.

She wasn’t there to pick up a loaf of bread or a tin of tuna. She wasn’t even there for the attention, though she certainly got plenty of it.

No, this cat just liked being there. She would strut through the entrance, hop up onto a shelf, and make herself at home.

The staff did what they could. They politely escorted her out. Then not-so-politely.

Then a bit more firmly. But every time they thought they had successfully removed her, there she was again, looking as calm and confident as ever, ready to claim her usual spot.

It didn’t take long for her persistence to catch the eyes of passersby. Shoppers began to recognize her.

Some even started visiting the store just to see if she was around.

She became known for lounging by the front door, particularly under the heated fans, the prime real estate, if you ask her.

There’s something oddly charming about the way she’d sit and silently judge the world going by. People stopped to snap photos, give her a quick tickle, or just say hello.

Before long, she was no longer just a mischievous visitor, she was a local icon.

And of course, once the internet got involved, the story exploded.

Photos of the cat who we now know is named Olly Oliver began circulating online. Her stern expression and determined visits turned her into a minor celebrity.

One post led to another, and soon enough, she had earned the nickname “Sainsbury’s Cat” and even landed a cheeky title of “Animal of the Week” from Time Out.

While the store’s staff were less than thrilled by her repeated visits, the public adored her.

For them, she wasn’t trespassing. She was part of the shopping experience.

Eventually, Sainsbury’s had to issue a statement. A spokesperson confirmed what many suspected: the cat didn’t belong to the store.

She actually lived right next door and was apparently just very fond of popping over.

The spokesperson made it clear she wasn’t supposed to be there, but also admitted that her presence was, well, a bit of a running joke.

Then came the twist: Olly had an owner all along. A local resident named Adam Oliver stepped forward, revealing that the beloved cat was his.

According to him, Olly had developed a routine, and Sainsbury’s was just part of it.

“I’ve told the staff to remove him if he’s being a nuisance,” he said. “But he’s always there. I don’t think he has time for other shops.”

Clearly, Olly had picked her favorite.

So why is this so entertaining? Maybe it’s because we love a rebel, even if she’s covered in fur.

Or maybe it’s the reminder that sometimes, you don’t need permission to be where you feel comfortable.

Olly’s story is simple: a cat finds a warm, interesting place, gets kicked out multiple times, and keeps coming back like it’s nobody’s business.

And in the process, she brightens everyone’s day.

We might never know what exactly draws her back. Maybe it’s the warmth by the door.

Maybe it’s the curious smells or the endless foot traffic.

Or maybe, just maybe, she likes knowing she’s become part of something bigger, a quiet little mascot with a loyal fanbase and a serious case of supermarket loyalty.

Whatever her reason, Olly isn’t going anywhere.
