A cat has managed to pull off what most travellers only dream of after slipping out of its carrier at John F. Kennedy International Airport, triggering a frantic search and a $5,000 reward.
The black-and-white tuxedo cat reportedly made its great escape when the zipper on its travel carrier came undone while its owner was inside the airport.
In a matter of seconds, the startled feline bolted and vanished into the terminal, leaving its owner and nearby staff scrambling.

Since then, the owner has been doing everything possible to track the cat down, including spreading the word online and offering a hefty cash reward to anyone who can help bring the runaway pet home safely.
