Dog’s Tiny Cut Costs Owners $150, But His Drama Was Worth It!

Dog’s Tiny Cut Costs Owners $150, But His Drama Was Worth It!

As someone who used to be a proud dog owner, I can honestly say I’ve spoiled my dog with cuddles and treats more times than I can count.

Okay, maybe it happened a little more often than I’d like to admit, and he absolutely loved every minute of it. But let’s just say this might have led to him getting a tad bit dramatic about these things.

Whenever he wasn’t feeling well, we’d shower him with food and gifts, and he’d perk right up, feeling better just by being in our presence.

Jean and her husband, Kirby, found themselves in a similar situation while at their local park in North Carolina when something unexpected happened to their dog.

What Happened to Jaqweenie?

When they looked over at their dog, Jaqweenie, they noticed something wasn’t quite right. He was holding up one of his hind legs, and it was shaking.

Concerned, his owners rushed over to see what was going on. They checked his leg but couldn’t find any injuries. They thought it might have been broken somehow.

Without wasting a second, they rushed him to the ER, but, unfortunately, it was full, and they couldn’t be seen immediately.

Not giving up, they quickly altered their plans and drove to a veterinarian clinic in North Carolina. There, Jaqweenie was examined thoroughly.

First, the vet placed a blood pressure cuff on Jaqweenie to ensure everything was alright. Then, they checked his patella to see if his knee had popped out of the joint.

But surprisingly, none of these seemed to be the issue. The vet team was stumped and couldn’t figure out what was wrong.

It Turned Out to Be a Tiny Cut

After some time, one of the vets noticed something small—Jaqweenie had a tiny cut on one of his paws.

It was so small that it had been missed earlier, and there was no bleeding. The vet even described it as a ‘paper cut,’ but this tiny injury ended up costing $150.

They quickly applied a special bandage to Jaqweenie’s ‘injury.’ He didn’t want to walk, so his parents carried him to the car.

Back home, Jaqweenie was showered with plenty of cuddles and kisses, which, of course, he seemed to enjoy thoroughly.

After being pampered and feeling all the love, he found the strength to go into the kitchen and grab a snack.

At that moment, his owners knew everything would be just fine. Jaqweenie was going to bounce back and probably forget that this whole incident had happened.

They couldn’t help but laugh at the situation, so they shared a video on Instagram, joking: “Bless his heart! I’m glad Jaqweenie has become so sheltered that the tiniest cut rocks his world.

In the end, everyone had a good laugh over Jaqweenie’s reaction to the ‘injury,’ and many found the whole thing pretty relatable. Jean and Kirby were thrilled with the positive reactions their video received.
