It was a quiet afternoon when a woman walking down the street spotted something unusual lying by the edge of the road.
At first, she thought it was just a pile of ruffled fur or a forgotten toy. But as she stepped closer, her heart dropped.

His body was slumped awkwardly against the pavement. His front legs were gone.
