This is “Sif the Grey”. He is my first cat and I adore him. He is my child and I’m obsessed with being his Dad now. 39 years as a dog person and just now discovering how amazing these guys are.

So, my question. I’ve had Sif since he was 2.5 months old and his adoption papers say he’s a “Domestic Shorthair”, but early on I noticed these faint, really cool looking stripes on his tail. Almost like rings on a raccoon. Then maybe a month or so ago I started noticing faint stripe looking patterns on his back legs, front legs, and in the right light even on his cheeks.

My fiancée at one point early mentioned he looked like maybe he has some tabby in him . For the more seasoned cat people here, does that sound right? Is there a name for the color? Closest thing I’d seen other than this was a Pitty I had that looked almost like a brindle pattern but I wonder if Sif will show it more when he grows up.🤔
