Some shelter cats don’t get ignored because they’re mean or sick. They get ignored because they look “different.” Espresso was one of them, sitting quietly while people stared at her uneven eyes… then walked away like she wasn’t worth the time.

She came in as an injured stray and a brand-new mama. She gave everything she had to her kittens, keeping them warm, feeding them, loving them with a tired body and a brave heart. Then one by one, her babies were adopted… and she was left behind in the silence.

Even after she healed, she waited. And waited. Still unwanted. Still hoping. 💔
