One quiet night, a tiny kitten was found sitting alone by the sidewalk, barely able to breathe.

His body burned with fever, and his eyes were swollen and leaking, as if he had cried until there were no tears left.

He was so weak that when he was picked up, he did not resist. He simply leaned into the hands holding him.
They named him Floquildo.

He was rushed to a small vet and given medicine day after day. The shots were painful, and his little body trembled, but he stayed gentle.

He ate slowly, blinked softly, and trusted the humans helping him, even while fighting to stay alive.

Then came the most painful moment of all.

Leaving was unavoidable, but the thought of Floquildo being abandoned again felt unbearable, like breaking a heart that had just learned to hope.
