1932 Lincoln Model KB Boattail Speedster (tribute)
While Lincoln never produced a speedster version of their Model KB, this modern interpretation built on an original chassis shows what such a car might have achieved during the Classic Era’s peak. The original 1932 Model KB represented luxury motoring at its finest with a powerful 448 cubic inch V-12 engine producing approximately 175 horsepower. This impressive powerplant featured advanced engineering for its time, including an L-head design and sophisticated carburetion system that delivered smooth performance across the rev range.
The Model KB rode on a substantial 136-inch wheelbase and featured mechanical drum brakes with power assistance (a luxury in 1932). Lincoln’s engineering team designed the chassis to handle considerable power output while maintaining the refined ride quality expected from America’s premier luxury marque. These Lincolns were typically fitted with custom coachwork from prestigious builders, creating some of the most striking automobiles of the pre-war period.
This tribute speedster captures the Model KB’s combination of substantial power, advanced engineering, and elegant proportions that made the originals favorites among wealthy buyers who demanded both performance and prestige.
