Lonely cat be friends jaguar in small village. When a man moved from New York City to a small village in the heart of jaguar country, he wasn’t alone, his street wise cat came with him.
Back in New York, the cat had been king of the alleyways. Every morning, he’d slip out, spend his days with a gang of alley cats, and return only for dinner. The man worried about uprooting him but figured the quiet life in the village might be good for both of them. So, just like in New York, he let his cat roam free.
Nothing seemed unusual, until one morning, the man noticed massive paw prints circling his home. Alarmed, he asked the villagers. They nodded gravely: “That’s a jaguar. Keep your cat inside.” But one night, his cat didn’t come home. Heart racing, flashlight in hand, the man set out to search. What he found froze him in place, his little cat curled up peacefully beside a jaguar. Not prey, not in danger, just two cats sharing the night.
Since then, every evening, the jaguar pads softly to the man’s doorstep, waiting for his tiny companion. Because in the end, big cats and small cats aren’t so different, they both just want a friend.
