1929 Cadillac V-8 Transformable Town Cabriolet (by Fleetwood)

The 1929 Cadillac featured subtle exterior changes from its predecessor, notably relocated parking lamps from the cowl to the fender tops. Major mechanical improvements included a new Synchro-Mesh Silent-Shift three-speed transmission, eliminating the need for double-clutching, and mechanical four-wheel brakes requiring less pedal pressure.

The model introduced shatterproof Security Plate glass as standard in all windows, double-acting Delco shock absorbers, and fully adjustable seats. Power came from Cadillac’s 341-cubic-inch V-8 engine, available with an optional high-compression head. These improvements made the 1929 model a significant advancement in Cadillac’s luxury automobile lineup.
